GROUND OR WHOLE BEAN

For best results we would always recommend wholebean and grinding freshly before brewing. However, if you don’t have the luxury of having a grinder at home and would like us to grind it, just add a note to your order and we will accommodate for your brewing process as best as possible.

ROASTING DAYS AND COFFEE RESTING

If you’re in a pinch we’d recommend a minimum of 7 days but for best results we tend to rest to rest our coffee for 14 days after roasting before brewing for espresso/ filter. The coffees will continue to open up and release more flavours the longer you rest them until 8 weeks where they slowly start to lose flavour (although they’re still delicious after this point).

For this reason where possible we will send coffee with some resting so you can enjoy it sooner, we will never send a coffee more than 3 weeks off roast. Although, this being said coffee is often roasted the same day as order or within a few days.

Our roasting days are typically Monday and Tuesdays. Dispatch days see below.

DISPATCH & SHIPPING

We currently ship using Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 service for all orders or this can be upgraded to Tracked 24 if needed.

Dispatch days are typically Monday - Wednesday depending on roasted coffee availability. Once dispatched you should receive an email containing a tracking number to track your item with Royal Mail.

*Depending on roasted coffee availability we might dispatch orders form the weekend on Tuesdays.

ROASTING STYLE

We try to offer a bit of everything where from a modern stand point we start at medium for our espresso to medium light and light for filter. Some coffees are roasted to be a little more robust and full bodied while others are roasted for sweetness and brightness in the cup with floral acidity, complexity and balance.

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

At the moment, we don’t offer order collections from the Roastery in Saffron Walden. However if you live within a 5 mile radius we deliver ourselves for free.

PACKAGING DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING

Our packaging can be recycled with other soft plastics and disposed of at most big supermarkets or drop off points.
