MARCOS HERRERA, PERU, FILTER
Marcos Herrera grows coffee in Rodriguez Tafur, a village in Peru's Amazonas region, at an elevation of 1700 meters in Lonya Grande. His farm, Mamaruntu, has earned recognition for its exceptional coffee, including 2nd place in a regional competition in November 2023. Since 2014, Marcos has been cultivating Geisha, Bourbon, and SL28 varieties on land inherited from his father’s farm, "Oso Perdido" (Lost Bear). Together with his wife Kary Yoany Guevara Guevara and their son Marko Aurelio Herrera Guevara, they continue the family tradition of coffee farming. The farm's name honors the Chachapoyas princess, Mamaruntu.
The cup presents vibrant notes of mango and passion fruit, followed by a subtle hint of blueberry, delivering a lively, fruity profile that reflects the farm’s unique terroir.
