Marcos Herrera, from the village of Rodriguez Tafur in the Amazonas region, is one of Peru's top specialty coffee growers. Located at 1700 meters above sea level in Lonya Grande, his farm earned 2nd place in a regional competition in November 2023. Growing Geisha, Bourbon, and SL28 varieties since 2014, Marcos has been involved in coffee production since childhood, inheriting his father's farm, "Oso Perdido" (Lost Bear).

Marcos, his wife Kary Yoany Guevara Guevara, and their son Marko Aurelio Herrera Guevara, continue the family's coffee-growing legacy. The farm, now named Mamaruntu, honors the Chachapoyas princess who captivated Inca Tupac Yupanqui.
